It began in the small town of Murwillumbah, just south of the NSW/QLD border in Australia, and from this incredibly artistic region has spread out to encompass the arts and artists of Australia, and the world.

After a prince she loved is killed in the Franco-Prussian war, she falls for an American journalist (Rod Cameron), who leads her into the treacherous world of espionage. Jonathan Pride (Charles Collins) is a dance teacher from Boston on his way to visit relatives in Los Angeles. His ship takes him around South America, where it's attacked by pirates. Pride is forced to work aboard their ship as a servant. He makes his escape when the ship docks on the California coast, but he realizes the local mayor (Frank Morgan) and his daughter (Steffi Duna) think he's a pirate captain. Pride's attempts to explain who he really is only lead to more confusion.

From there a TV show was a natural progression. It seeks to answer the question of how a very small number of people who work in this industry deal so successfully with millions of visitors.
